A mix of speculative short stories - some very short - exploring a variety of themes of borders, uncertain and unreliable futures, colonial violence, family and grief, and more.
I liked all the stories, though enjoyed some more than others. As with Signs Preceding the End of the World, I couldn't always follow his train of thought - sometimes it felt like the message or the story was more oblique. Or maybe I'm just outside that realm of experience to immediately get what he's trying to convey (which is totally fine). He's still got a brilliant sense of storytelling and ability to delve into the nuances of humanity.
I don't think it'll linger in my mind the same way his aforementioned novella did, though, which is a shame.
