I've read two of Haig's books, and have the same problem with both of them: the ending. The last few pages are just explaining the lessons learnt throughout the book, as if I haven't just read it and pieced it together myself. It's a bit immature. Also, this books ending was predictable. It's still the best ending, but it's obvious, so pairing that with a big spiel about regrets and life... Ugh, it falls flat.
I liked the book, but it did drag a bit. By the halfway point, I knew exactly where it was going. The repetition between "lives" got old. I don't know what the point of Hugo was.
Nora is likeable, but very forgettable.
I don't think I'll be reading anymore of Matt Haig's books.
