This book has a slow build but once it hit its stride and established the action and main characters, I was propelled and struggled to do other tasks in a day when I really just wanted to be back in the book. The characters are complex but well laid out, everyone is so self motivated it’s fascinating, it’s absolutely a psychological thriller in how manipulated your emotions will be as you follow the plot and characters and then — yeah, well, it’s not a romp! I mean, it’s loosely based on a classic tragedy, so… but yeah, absolutely worth the devastation.
