Deeper by Roderick Gordon, Brian Williams

slow-paced

Roderick. Brian. Guys. GUYS. You couldn't have fumbled the writing of Sarah's character if you tried to. After spending the entire first book setting her up to be this incredible revolutionary figure, the only person to EVER evade capture by the Styx, and then make her utterly pathetic and stupid before killing her off. It is baffling that she believed the blatant lies of the Styx and willingly works with them. Why would she trust any Styx, especially Rebecca? She should have been captured or died years ago if this is how she acts.

Also, this book is too damn long. It would have been better if it had some of the fat trimmed.

RIP Cal you were my favorite. If Bartleby dies, I might throw in the towel on this series.
