i have a lot of thoughts about this book that will probably take some time to pen down properly. but i'm already irritated by reviews on here complaining about how it's too violent for YA and newsflash! this series has never been YA! the author herself said so! the first book (and parts of this) certainly read in the style of YA but stop blaming it for not living up to expectations it never set itself to.
i'm definitely going to read the third book because i wanna know how this all shakes out but in terms of caring about the characters...i just want jamshid and muntadhir to have a happy ending. especially jamshid he is literally my favorite character and he deserves everything!! praying TO GOD that nahri does not miraculously forgive dara and end up with him, but i also don't want her to end up with ali lmfao. a man and a woman can be just friends!! it's 2019!!! lord.
