Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
5.0
Words cannot express how wonderfully written this book is... but I will try. The story follows that if the Lee family as they try to cope with the death of their daughter and the reemergence of the demons they each posses in their own right. There were many aspects of the book that I could appreciate. The unexplained death of Lydia was handled in an extremely respectful way. I mean that not only in reference to how the characters received the news but rather how the author chose to explain this event to her audience. One of the best things of the book really was how the characters had flaws, ones they kept hidden not only from each other but themselves. They literally moved, behaved and breathed like real people and while some confessions were raw and tender I truly felt that each character had their own voice and reasoning for the course of events that followed. It was an amazingly written book with beautiful writing.
