We surely don't have enough FBI and criminal romances like this. As a major fan of the 'Mindfuck' series, I highly approve of this; in fact it's the closest to the series I ever got with another book. Intensity between the MCs was so extreme that I could literally feel the sparks floating through pages. With crime, suspense, toe curling romance, and morally gray characters, this book checked off every single criteria. After the second book, I clearly wasn't expecting to be blown away quite like this.

DEA agent, Nicholas Woodsworth is sent on a special mission to uncover the drug supplier for the infamous Westerly family. Westerly's been carrying around their business for a long time, smuggling drugs and weapons to bigger criminal rings. A night before departure, Nick and his teammate crash at a bar to celebrate, where he has a moment with a mysterious woman he can't seem to forget about afterwards. His insides fill with dread when he finds out she's none other than the youngest Westerly while undercover as a new recruit for her family's drug trade. Eveline Westerly is wicked, violent, and almost at the edge of insanity; no trace of the woman he met at the bar. She makes his job way more difficult. Having the woman he feels an intense attraction to so close yet so far is torturing; getting attached to her is the last thing he wants. Eveline knows him as Brayden, the reckless newbie fresh out of the jail and he wouldn't risk having her blow his cover. But what would happen when he learns the one he's head over heels in love with is the actual culprit he's looking for? Will he do what's right and turn her in or save her from the other agents who are after her?

'Wreatched' is a 'Wizard Of Oz' retelling where we get a female anti-hero with a hero as her love interest. Where he struggles to hold onto the possibility of them even when it's doomed from the very beginning. Strong characters navigate their way to each other in a blurred reality of good and bad.
