didn't realize this was a young adult novel until i began reading it (it was a gift). pretty fast-paced and an easy read. very predictable; you can see everything coming from ten miles away. things are almost spelled out to you, which i guess checks out for a young adult book. honestly had higher hopes when i saw this was the same author of "i know what you did last summer" as i enjoyed the movie back in the day (though have never read the book and didn't know it even was one until i was given this one and saw it advertised on the back).
