The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro

3.5

I enjoyed the questions Ishiguro raises about memory. How is memory able to both strengthen and damage our ties to each other? And I loved the way he wrote so that you got a sense of what it felt like to not be able to form long-term memories, like through the repetitiveness of the dialogue. Even so, I still didn't love this book. It just felt like it took some serious effort to read for me.
