darkpsychereads 's review for:
The Flood
by Michael McDowell
A thorough review will come once I finish the entire saga.
However, so far it is a slow-burning supernatural horror of the Southern Gothic Variety.
And I'm digging the mystery and the odd happenings. All the while the gossiping townsfolk slowly crack in their inability to control or understand the charismatic, elusive and persuasive force that is Elinor Dammert. This is one of those instances where everything appears well on the surface.. for a while.. until everything is not.
I listened to the audiobook version of this.
