How does she DO it, man? How does Meghan Whalen Turner write a book that is 90% traveling and make it absolutely riveting the whole way through? How does she write a returning character and NOT NAME HIM still the last 50 pages but still make it totally clear who he is? How does she get away with half the stuff she gets away with in this whole series? How does she write characters with such nuance and distinction? How is she such a genius???
Obviously I'm still impressed with this series, and with MWT's mastery of storytelling, structure and world-building. She could write a book about a day on Costis' family's farm and it would be brilliant.
Standing ovation. I'll wait as long as I have to for her to write another book.
