Why did it take me so long to pick this one up? Why did I ever think that I wouldn't enjoy it? Who knows! But what I do know is this was the most fun I've had with a Meghan Quinn book since her Getting Lucky series with the Knightley brothers (a fave!). Despite being over 400 pages long, I sped through this in one sitting cos I loved it and I can't wait to get the rest of the stories for these guys!

What I liked:
- The strong focus on building a friendship helped to balance the "instalove" vibes between Pacey and Winnie. I mean, with the "unrealistic romance plot" tweets that are currently circulating on the bird app, it's clear that people who fall in love quickly can have relationships that last, but it's not my favourite trope. It really didn't feel insta here though and I loved the progression of their relationship.
- So many swoony moments. It wasn't just the moments of grovelling at the end that were sweet but the things that Pacey would say and do for Winnie throughout the book really swept me off my feet. He is a simp for her and I am here for it! His genuine pride at being the person she chooses to be with was so freaking sweet and I loved the way he treated her like an absolute queen.
- The chemistry and banter. Their connection was instantaneous and the more they spend time together, the more obvious their chemistry was. Their banter was perfect—I loved the understanding they had and how they were so in tune with each other! There were some really great laugh-out-loud moments (especially the trophy scene) that were WILD and felt like they were taken straight from a cheap and cheesy rom-com but I mean that in the best way.
- The hockey crew. Holy fork, this crew had me laughing so hard that my mum came barging into my room to ask me if I was okay because I was cackling so loudly. I *adored* Holmes, Posey, Hornsby and Potato—I mean, Taters (eventually)! They had such a great connection and there was an easy openness to their friendship group that had me giggling a time or two. I can't wait for all their stories.
