This book had me in tears over the last few chapters. I couldn't stop crying. The tears kept rolling down my face. Tears of joy and sadness. It's painful to read how you can not turn back time and change faith. But it's miraculous to see the effect powerful words of unconditional love have on a human being. As broken as they may be, to feel the forgiveness and the reconciliation deep within your heart, that is what eases all the baggage that they dragged alongside them. It washes away the heaviness of the pain into a state where the pain evolves into fortitude.

This for me is a masterpiece that tells a story of a world that is so otherly than what we know. We could not imagine the atrocities these people have to endure every single day. It's a story we read, that's moves us to tears and fuels the rage inside of us. To realise that all the thing you read is a horrible reality that people ought to live every day.

This book is amazing in bringing perspective in a complicated subject like this one. To shine light on the different aspects that play a role in the lives of the people that where born and raised in a country where freedom is something very fragile. Where you as a woman are denigrated, mistreated and kept small. Stripped from everything form of individuality. Wich for men in a world like that is also something that is hard to go up against. It's a world where you are expected to fulfill your duties to the best of your ability.

I think it's important to read this book because it's an subject that unfortunately is still very relevant. I don't think many people care to read more into the subject at all and just have there prejudices about people fleeing there motherland. It's the violance they see in the news that passed their judgement. Not all the sorrow and the abuse these people had to endure.

And to all the people living this story; You are resilient, strong and so courageous. That you all get to live the lives we so blatantly take for granted and get the blessings you wish for.
