Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

5.0

This book had a rocky start for me. Not in the traditional sense where I end up putting it down but I was a little confused on what was happening in the story. After the first 20 pages or so (and some re-reading) I realized the writing was different from what I am used to. While there were times I got lost, I attributed this more to the dystopian nature than anything else.

Fahrenheit 451 had me stopping to think a lot. How would society today look without books? How many people do we know say they hate reading? How do we change the need to ban things that make us uncomfortable?

This was the first book by Ray Bradbury I have read and I am looking forward to reading more.
