This was an enjoyable reading experience for me. I zoomed through it and was interested the entire time. I had two main grievances with the book.
First off- the romance was a little heavy. There was nothing inappropriate but this girl was only a senior in high school and the romance felt very serious for how old she was. Also, there was just a little too much romance for me personally- and I like romance.
Second off- I was disappointed with how black and white the characters were. They were either angelically good or inherently evil. I would have appreciated them to have more layers.
Overall, I had a good time reading this book. The subject matter was different for me. I thought it was interesting seeing how the main girl coped with her abusive mother. I will most likely move on to the next book in the series.
