I'm terrible at writing reviews, but this was simply one of the best books I've ever read. Michelle had a way of pulling you into this story, placing you not only at the crime scene but in the mind of the victim and in the mind of the Golden State Killer, then transporting you back to her conversations with investigators. Despite the timeline jumping around, I never felt lost, instead following our reliable narrator.
