This is my 1st CoHo read! Unpopular, but I’m underwhelmed. Drama on overdrive! This felt like a Lifetime movie. It was an easy, fast read that did keep me engaged. Maybe it’s my grandma-like personality reading young adult, but the story line was a bit problematic for me. It also kind of felt like the author wrote the story assuming anyone reading this can’t pick up on any nuances? I prefer literary devices with more emotional/character buildup. I’ll try another book by her & see!
