Cis straight white man writes misogynistic and fetishized depiction of roles in a lesbian relationship where the femme is literally a succubus and has to let go of all of her dreams, agency, and general interiority to help along the more masculine partner who quite literally takes it out on the femme anytime something goes wrong as if the author himself just chugged a Monster and punch a hole in some drywall. Even better, the femme just lets it go and doesn't hold her partner accountable. I've never felt so baited and then enraged and then just flat out offended. This could be studied in a queer feminist critique; Travis Baldree is my official enemy to the point I want to start writing more fantastical lesbian romance just to erase this book from any presence in queer circles.
