📚My Review📚
Iron Gold is a decade into the rising war. Many who have been set free from the mines are no longer hopeful their lives will improve, and their is division within the New Republic's Senate.
I enjoyed how the author displayed the consequence of the war with the addition of three new POV. The 3 POVs provided different experiences of the war and its impact on their families, mental health, and way of life.
❤️Yall, I STAN for Servo you hear! He is the epitome of a father and loyal friend. One of the few who are not afraid to tell Darrow the truth.
👊🏾I was so disappointed in Darrow throughout the entire book. His duty to the war overshadowed his commitment to his family. Also, his persona, the Reaper, got to his head, and he saw himself as a God.
🔥The women stole the show in this book
Dido au Raa, Victra au Barca, Mustang, Lyria, and Seraphina au Raa.
They displayed so much bravery, grace, boss bitch, and calm in the face of uncertainty. We had mommas kicking ass, holding it down, and weathering the storm ( I am not a fan of Victra even more). She is 8 months prego and out here tussling lol.
🥲Also, Romulus au Raa stole my heart
His unwavering dedication to honor and doing the right things was a salve to all the duplicity and corruption in the book. He owned up to his faults and played the ultimate price.
🙅🏾♀️Finally, Darrow should killed Lysander when he had the chance. The young man is about to change the course of this war. He has nothing to fear or lose-- he has lost EVERYTHING.
I look forward to starting book 5-- Dark Age and seeing how all these cliffhangers progress.
