Plot was fine. It was the culmination of the last several books, as expected. The weird part? It felt super surface level. I get this is YA, but come on. Previous books in the series have had more emotional depth, so why couldn't this one? This one needed it most. Instead we got a lot of barely landing jokes in the middle of a war, a strange "relationship" that's never really discussed, and pretty terrible redemption arc.
