I'm Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness by Austin Channing Brown

4.0

Another gorgeous and challenging perspective on race inequality and how it perpetuates across nearly every space and institution in our country. While much of the book shares ideas and experiences that may sound similar to readers of other recent books on race, Brown weaves a healthy amount of Christian faith ideas into these reflections, in a way that challenges white, mainstream believers to think about how Jesus and the Holy Spirit appear in spaces of inequality. It wasn't overpoweringly religious, just enough to feel the love and hope of a grateful believer.
