funny informative fast-paced

I really didn't know anything about Elton John, other than his taste for fantastic outfits and the fact that Elton John is not his real name. Who know he was such a funny motherfucker?!
I really loved that he called himself out on his own bullshit like he would say "I was the twat, everyone else was fine; it was me and also cocaine which was also my fault". I really appreciated that he took that kind of responsibility for his actions. I love that he called out the racism and sexism in the music industry without making it sound like a PSA because he's a white man and has not experienced it at all. I feel like after this I actually know a ton of stuff about Elton john, which is what I want in a memoir!
I did knock my rating down a little bit because the narrator kept doing this weird inhale sigh thing that drove me absolutely batty and I feel like there was a lot of justification of Elton's fellow white men for some truly terrible behavior on their part that I really wished he had called them out on, but otherwise the material is top notch.
