When I finished Kingdom of the Cursed, I needed this book immediately, and wow it was such a let down.
How could so much have happened yet nothing happened? So many random side characters/plots that didn’t matter. Emilia and Wrath became like that annoying couple in high school that would have dramatic sappy PDA filled goodbyes before going off to separate math classes or whatever. The answers to all the big questions were just so off the wall. I felt like I had missed parts of the book while reading. All the drama and turmoil was fixed so easily. I felt like I was reading a first draft and not a published conclusion to a series.
