I just finished this book about 5 minutes ago and I am in tears. I loved The Tattooist of Auschwitz because of how beautifully it was written and because it is such a beautiful story, with so much tragedy but a happy ending. I loved this second book just as much. Cilka was based on a real person who endured so much pain and suffering in her life for such a long time and I just can’t fathom it. I’m so thankful for all the work and research that the author did to share these stories. Now I can’t wait to get my hands on Book #3 !
