This sequel to Where the Mountain Meets the Moon shared many characters with the original, and it was enjoyable and surprising to make the various connections to stories, plot points and characters from the previous book. I read this with my 9yo daughter and she especially loved pointing out the different connections and discovering where the twists and turns of the plot were taking us. I enjoyed the weaving of the stories throughout, and the way that the author tied together seemingly disparate threads at the end.
