At the start of this book I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it as much as The Deal With The Devil but this book really ended up delivering! The second half of the book gets some action (and the characters do too). What starts off as enemies/grumpy-sunshine vibes pretty quickly evolves into a friendship with feelings. Thank god this book was dual POV- I needed to know Josh’s thoughts. Obsessed with how deeply he cares for and wants to protect Drew. He’s so ernest as the book progresses which is sweet and hot. This book honestly had me tearing up at points. Elizabeth O’Roark is so good at writing books that are emotional, dramatic, with a little spice to boot. I for sure would recommend this book. I’m excited to read Ben’s story next!
Graphic: Alcoholism, Child abuse, Gun violence, Suicide, Injury/Injury detail
