I've probably read this four times since I discovered it in September, and checked it out at least twice.

Whichever genre you'd call it, [b:Quiet in the Garden|6218976|Quiet in the Garden|Aliki|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1347668173l/6218976._SX50_.jpg|6399659] is a cute book that introduces kids to nature and neighborhood animals (in western countries at least). The full-color art itself is a style that can only be described as cute, but not in an over-the-top "cutesy" way. It is realistic and peaceful, but also leaves a fair amount of white space on the page.

I definitely want this for my future classroom, and it is easily a new favorite children's books.
