The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker
4.0

In this coming-of-age tale, the world is slowing down--literally. The earth is spinning more and more slowly on it's axis. Although the physical effects of this process are discussed in the novel, the book centers more so is the emotional effects. How do relationships survive such uncertain times? I particularly liked that one of the supporting characters is Mormon and her family up and moves to Utah as soon as the announcement is made that the earth is slowing--only to move back after they realize that the earth isn't actually ending :)
