Wowee, what a difference the author makes. Not to sound overly callous, but Sanderson was just the thing this series needed. He took all the concepts set forth by Jordan and improved on them 10x. He took all the plot points that took 5 books to set up and resolves them all in one effective and entertaining fashion. Seemingly gone are the days of literal pages describing clothing and literally worthless politicking. This is the first time in a while where I actually look FORWARD to the next book. Good job, Sando!
