A deliciously dark set of short stories themed around the theme of hunger—hunger for food, revenge, power, for another person, for beauty, etc.
“The Shadow Over Little Chitaly” was especially original as a set of Google-style reviews for a mysterious restaurant—I love the one lady who kept ordering the special pizza even though she kept leaving reviews saying she didn’t like it.
“Extinction Event” definitely felt like something that could happen, and “The King” was funny in a disturbing way.
I liked some of the stories more than others, but overall, a solid set of short stories!
