This is book 4, and I’m only now realising Kippa is a girl.
Maika finds/is kidnapped by her father who gathers war lords from all over to speed up the war.
This forced her to confront her past and straddle the line of nature v nurture, hunger v justice, wolf v monster.
MY DEAR, IN MY LIMITED EXPERIENCE, HOW PARENTS EXERCISE POWER OVER THEIR CHILDREN IS THE ONLY CONVERSATION FAMILY EVER TRULY HAS.
Kippa is still my favourite and I’m happy she could go off and have her own adventure even though it was fraught and miserable and terrifying because she learns more about herself and her powers.
I want more on the Baroness and I can’t wait for her confrontation and revelation with Maika.
