This book was an interesting experience and at times hard to get through. Not because of the subject matter (it deals pretty frankly with mental illness and suicide) but because of how it dragged, because of the way I never felt truly connected to the characters, and the somewhat clunky writing style that utilized both second and third person narration (at times, the "narrator" speaks directly to the reader, taking them out of the story, which I did not enjoy at all). I have enjoyed other books by this author but this one just didn't do much for me.
