Batshit crazy book. The historical stuff is damn real. The protagonist is nuterbutters. I found the hallucinatory episodes a little trite but otherwise excellent read. Did not enjoy the extreme obsession with the body and bodily functions but I guess it was necessary. Its essentially one magnificent horror-fest. Loved the bureaucratic nature of the Holocaust. Worth the time and energy.
