Confused about what this was supposed to be and who it was written for. I understand many people like cute, cozy and simple and the writing is that. But, as others have mentioned, I didn’t really see the point of making them animals? It felt more middle grade except for some bits which wouldn’t be appropriate for children, and yet talking animals is too childish in my mind and clashes with some of the more mature elements. Just felt discordant and the characters were one sided and for those reasons, I’m out.
