I didn't expect that...
There is a lot happening in this book.
Maybe it's a bit of a second chance romance. But just a little bit 🙈 Carson and Paige have known each other since high school. They had the same friends, but Paige couldn't stand Carson. He already had his fan club. I mean, he was a hot hockey player, sure he did 😎 But still that's not how Carson is. He is grumpy. He doesn't like people.
Paige wasn't an outsider, but she definitely wasn't an it-girl.
Both didn't have an easy past, but neither of them knew what happened in the other's life, until now. OK, still not completely from the beginning, and with every secret that was revealed, I was 😱 Every single one got me.
And now they live together and have a fake relationship 😱 And let us be honest, what girl could have a fake relationship with a hot hockey player and not want to hump him? 🙈
There is so much about strong friendships in this book. Paige's best friend Bella and her boyfriend and Carson's best friend James.
But it's not just friends. Oh, I so hated this one "friend", she is such a b!tch 🤬
And don't let me start with Paige's ex...
But there is also one little girl in this book 🩷 Maddie, Carson's 5 years old niece. This girl is so cute. I loved her. And she makes me laugh a few times 🤣
This book doesn't have much hockey in it. Just a few talks after a game or the fact that Carson is away for a few days because of away games... So don't expect a lot of playtime, you will be disappointed. But the story is more important and there isn't really time for hockey 🤣
