I think there was maybe a little too much going on here. A lot of the “extra” stuff did contribute to character development, but there were enough characters that at times I had a hard time remembering their connection to the story. The people who I would say are the two main protagonists are fairly unlikeable, though for one of them I think that it’s more rooted in trauma. Anyway, interesting read.
