Magnolia, 木蘭 by Nina Mingya Powles

“I am full of nouns and verbs; I don’t know how to live any other way”

This quote pretty much sums up Magnolia 木蘭 by Nina Mingya Powles to a T.

Overall a melancholic and meditative (if a tad too experimentally jarring in form at times) exploration of a young woman navigating her identity in -and outside of, her cultural heritage and upbringing.
