I wasn't enjoying this one. It was on a recommended list from Powell's for AAPI authors so I thought I'd check it out. The subject matter was a little bit too familiar for me to find it an enjoyable backdrop for a lighthearted romance, and honestly just way too unbelievable, which is saying a lot for someone who reads schlock like I do. And the MC was not at all likeable. Too bad.
