An Heir of Frost by Elise Kova

5.0

 *deep breath*

My emotions have been taken, snapped in half like a twig, and left exposed, vulnerable. Elise brings together characters we love and the Pirate Queen Adela, who we've longed to see for several serieses now (if you've read Air Awakens and Vortex Chronicles). I can't believe this is already the 4th book and boy does it deliver! Exploring the seas with Adela and her crew was an enlightening and intense experience. I felt for so many of the characters and challenges they faced over and over again. There are still so many secrets that I can't fathom how they will be wrapped up in the final book. Not to mention the uncertainty of Eira and her ragtag crew. I love that Eira learned a lot in this book. Her self discovery and indepence is something I can and I think many other can relate to, so I'm hopeful for how she'll continue to perservere in the conclusion to the series.

I can't get enough of this world and magic. It's an such a wonderful experience to imerse myself eachtime I read. Recommending Elise Kova's books is one of the easiest things I will always do!
