Big Trouble by R.A. Spratt
4.0
Like all the previous Friday Barnes books, I found this one also quite enjoyable even as a slightly older reader.
In this story, Friday is still hired by students to solve strange and odd mysteries, whilst also figuring out an overarching mystery of a thief named The Pimpernel. So the concept remains largely similar to past Friday Barnes books, which can be viewed by some as a good or a bad thing, but if the formula works don't change it.
I enjoyed its simplicity, I appreciated its jokes and writing style, and the character Melanie still remains one of my most relatable and delightful characters I have seen in a book aimed at tweens.
4/5. Enjoyable for the most part and would recommend.
