Parts of this felt like it was written by a teenager. I finished it because the story was interesting but there were multiple times that I debated about dnf-ing this one.
Parts of this book are great but man certain parts are so lazy and/or predictable that it's hard to read. I get that Katrina was sheltered, but even a sheltered/naive person wouldn't have drank the damn tea. Also the slow burn romance is killing me. Just stop not talking and admit you like each other. It's like a 13 yr old's vision of relationships/feelings. At no point did this feel like an Adult book, every moment felt like a YA novel.
