Fahrenheit 451
by Ray Bradbury
It blows my mind to see this considered on the same level as Orwell and Huxley- it’s an incredibly unrealised world with flat characters as stand-ins for a preachy message against an argument nobody made. The writing style is ridiculously by-the-book and cliché, ironic considering that this book is meant to want to make us read more, and yet sticks so desperately to overused metaphor that it makes me want to stop. Two stars solely because some of the media critique in the middle was quite interesting
