L.A. Weather by María Amparo Escandón

I feel like the author was going for a family saga novel with allegory, and it ended up being almost comical with its zany plot lines. One or two of these could be plausible, but when you get to the 6-8 plot lines that are going on within the span of the year it’s just too much. It felt like fewer plot lines that went deeper might have worked better.
I did learn there is a contingent of Mexican Americans who are Jewish.
