oh my gosh where do i even start. first thing i wanna say is - this book is the perfecT combination of Sally Rooney’s ‘Normal People’ and the Before Trilogy of movies with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. I got so wonderfully attached and involved with the two charters in this right from the get go - and that ending - TIRE ME APART LEFT RIGHT AND CENTRE. I usually don’t get to emotional or teary in books similar to this often because i just don’t hold that big a connection with the characters and their lives - but this was again just written in a way that guided the reader on a journey of live and loss and light and hope and sarcasm and fun and just EVERYTHING!!!! and also can i just say - THE FACT that the WHOLE thing was set on her date of death and like when i realised that at the end i’d been reading the past anniversaries of this inevitable fact, i just can’t, it was so deviously smart and torturously beautiful! umm also WHAT THE HELL I LITERALLY FINISHED READING THIS BOOK TODAY - DO YOU KNOW WHAT TODAYS DATE IT??!?!?! THE 15th OF FREAKING JULY !!! THIS WAS NOT PLANNED I AM SHAKIN!!!!
