Thank you Ki Stephens for gifting me an eARC of Good Graces for review.

Ki Stephens absolutely ended me with this book. She found a way to cause me emotional pain but make me love it. Quinn and Warren are far from perfect, their relationship even more so. But that's what makes Good Graces so complelling and addictive.

Quinn and Warren are grumpy as hell, trust no want, and don't want that to change. The last time either one let someone in, they both went up in flames. We get to watch them wrestle with what they want, what they need, what it means to trust, and coping with a life that just isn't fair.

Warren is struggling with anxiety and depression on top of being the child of a parent battling addiction. His father is in an assisted living facility after Meth use causes several strokes. This was a really honest and raw portrayal what it can be like to grown up with a parent battling addiction. It doesn't always get better and you don't always stop loving for careing. It was heartbreaking but wasn't all that he was either.

Quinn struggles with being the sibling of someone with chronic illness. Her parents have always been much more focused on her brother, leading her to doing desperate things to gain their attention, until she just decided to be alone. We get to see her grow into exploring trusting others, not just Warren. And it's not perfect either but she tries and she grows.

Warren and Quinn's relationship is messy but in a way that I think is so real when you carry as much as they do. Their relationship doesn't fix their problem. Their communication at time is atrocious, but they do talk to each other and support each other in a way that is beautiful.

I know I will be returning to Good Graces again, it will occupy my mind for some time, and I will be forcing others to read it. Please pick up a copy on May 13th!
