3.0

Todd Boss' Yellow is a quiet yet profound exploration of familial strife. Boss writes observes his childhood on the farm, his troubled marriage, and subsequent divorce with a witty, philosophical pen. His mastery of of internal rhyme lends musicality to the poems, but sometimes caused somber subjects to come off as unintentionally playful. Some of my favorites were "Rain" and "Wood Burning."
