Shiftless by Aimee Easterling

Shiftless was very Relentless (Karen Lynch)-meets-Bound by Fate (Mandy Dowson)-esque. It had the struggle of trying to find a balance between their "darker side" and maintain their tenuous independence (Like Sara), with the steadfast loyalty and mate-like behavior that dictated them keeping their mate and pack safe at cost to their own well-being (Like Beth). I loved it! And the bit about Patricia Briggs's books had me fangirling from the very start! So much packed into one tiny book.

A absolutely ADORED that lil sh** nephew of Terra's, Keith. He was so precious and arrogant and way too enthusiastic about all things werewolf. I LOVED HIM!! He was very contradictory with his dismissive treatment of his father (who's oblivious as all get out, by the way) and then immediate acceptance and gravitation to his mysterious aunt Terra, which he hadn't even know existed until she showed at his "sickbed." Whatever. Loved him anyway!

Wolfie was just all kinds of awesome packed into a dominating, though also submissive, package. I literally can't pin him down as being one or the other. He is both. And he is AWESOME. I can't wait to see where Terra's and his relationship takes them next!

Highly recommended for those who have quality taste in the paranormal (specifically if you are a Were-Nerd like me). You won't regret this quick and tantalizing read. And fear not, just under 200 pages is PLENTY of time for this story to progress in its full potential. Happy Reading!
