This book was insane! I was gripped from the beginning and it just coils tighter and tighter, spinning so many narratives and twists that you can never know where it will end up. The way it spun together the story of Ann Putnam was excellently done, as well. The whole book will keep you guessing. The language is beautiful and it manages to create a novel that is whimsical and unexpected while still being totally relatable. Wow.
I honestly though this book was a mix of psychological thriller/horror, mystery, realistic fiction, and maybe even magical realism. It was unlike anything I’ve ever read before.
