I first wanted to refrain from rating this book, but I decided on a 3 star anyway. Because of the writing style and my fondness of the characters.
When I start reading a book, I want .. no need to be sucked in. You read the first chapter and then you must feel a need or a want to read further and further. With this book I did not experience that. It started out with lots of information, a description of what happened to the heroine and the hero did not get into the story until much later. And for me that is a no no. I like being dumped straight into the story and then be told what happened before. Because now I was actually quite bored with this book and almost DNF until the point the hero made his entrance. And it is hard for me to stay connected to a book if I dislike the first chapters. I skimmed and half read the rest of the book.
