Kodiak's Claim by Eve Langlais

4.0

I absolutely adored Kodiak's Claim! What more can a reader ask for than a hot hero, a realistic heroine, a bit of suspense and some hot sex?! Nothing...you can ask for nothing more.

Tammy just needs to verify an insurance claim from Reid's company. One missing truck is one thing. But several? That's suspicious. Heading off to the wilds of Alaska is just another day on the job for her but meeting the mysterious Reid makes it all worth it. Even if it's just for a few days, getting close to the man may be just what Tammy needs after booting her no good cheating ex to the curb.

The tiny human should not be peeking the interest of the alpha to his clan and yet that is just what's she's doing. Reid can't seem to get his mind off Tammy and with someone targeting his clan and his business, she's the last thing he needs to be thinking about. Yet when someone puts her in the cross hairs Reid's every protective fiber flares violently to life. He may not be able to tell her he's a kodiak bear, but he'll use every instinct, bear and human, to keep his woman safe.

Every book I pick up by Langlais delivers and leaves me aching for more by the end. Kodiak's Claim was no different. Reid and Tammy together just worked so well. I loved Tammy's feisty attitude and Reid definitely gave as good as he got. I found myself chuckling through many a scene and then sighing in contentment at many others. Tammy can certainly wield a frying pan unlike anyone else I've seen. :) I also love the fact that she's a normal sized woman with curves. It's not often that I feel like I can connect with a character as much as I did Tammy. I felt like she could be me and I love any author who can make me feel like that.

I loved the bit of suspense layered expertly into the humor and the awakening emotions. The overall story arc concerning the return of someone long thought dead should carry easily into book two.

I can't wait for the next book in this new series to come out! Because, well...the hero is a MOOSE. A MOOSE! I highly enjoy the variety of shifters in Langlais' world and I can't wait to see what a big....rack he has!

I give Kodiak's Claim by Eve Langlais 4.50 stars!
